There is nothing greater than having the love of a family. However, in this complicated world that we live in, there seems to be a breakdown of traditional family values.
Every person is unique and wonderful, since we are all created in God's own image.
It also states that he knows everything about us. He knows every hair on our head. He even knows every thought that we have, even before we have one. He even knew us when we were in the womb.
You are probably thinking, then why does he allow some family to get out of love for each other? This. Goes back to the Garden of Eden. Ever since Eve and Adam ate from the Tree Of Life, there have been troubles. We all lost the ability to walk and talk with God on a one on one, and a. Face to face basis.
That was the beginning of the freedom of choice. God wants us to choose our paths. He wants us to follow Him out of our love for Him. He doesn't want us to be like robots, where He controls every move.
However, with this "free choice", it unleashes a lot of problems, if they aren't dealt with by following His Word. For it says, "From within the heart comes all kinds of evil. From within man comes murder, envy, strife, covetousness, greed, bitterness, anger, rage...".
We have a choice to go through life our own way, or to go through it with God's guidance through His Word.
In it, it is said, "Thy Word is A Light unto my feet, and a Light unto my Path.". It also says, "I have hidden my heart in Thy Word, so that I may not sin against Thee.".
Now what does that mean? Does that mean that God will prevent us from sinning? Not at all! What it is implying that if we meditate on His Word, it will help us to make better decisions to get closer to the heart of God.
"For the Fruits of The Spirit are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Gentleness, Kindness, and Self Control." This verse can be found in Philippians 4.
In other words, if left to our own devices and only relying on rationalizations in our own minds, we will have loads of troubles.
Just like a car's owner's manual helps us to get to know our cars, The Bible is God's "Owner's Manual" that helps us to get to know Him better, and gives us the tools that we need to work through every day life.
Family relationships are the responsibility of each and every person in it. We all make mistakes, and it only makes things worse when blame sets in.
No faults that anyone has gives anyone the justification for others to hold grudges. It is much better to get whatever issues out on the table, deal with them, then press on and strive to have a wholesome future together. It will never be easy, but by using the precepts found in "The Good Book", life will be a lot easier. When we hold grudges, it actually hurts the grudge maker worse Than the person that the grudge is against.
"May the Peace Of God that passes all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, now and forevermore, Amen".

Worry
I have touched on this in one of my previous blogs, and am touching on it again. What is the cause of most of our stresses in life? It is the worry monster. Jesus has told me, again and again, the passage in the book of Matthew Chapter 6. I am not quoting verse by verse, but this is my own paraphrase. If God is going to take care of the birds, make sure they have clothing, food, and shelter, won't he do the same exact thing for us? In this day that we live in, things can get out of hand in a big way, and very quickly. We all do this one thing. We all focus on the temporary problems, instead of the solutions. Some of us just shut down and stress about the mountain before us, some of us "crawl into a hole", get depressed, and pull the sheets over our heads. Some of us make jokes about the circumstances, and others have what I call "alligator skin" and let it roll off our back, and then look for the solutions, instead of focusing on the problem.
Jesus has said that He will never leave us nor forsake us, He is with us forever. He is preparing a mansion for us, for that great and glorious day, when we will live with Him forever. He loves us and cares deeply for all of us.

Fall Season 2011
As the season changes, we all start doing a lot of things to prepare for the Winter. We start to put away summer clothes, mow the lawn for the last time, rake leaves, put away our hoses, start paying more attention to the air in our tires, light the pilot light in our furnaces, and more. Wow! That's a lot of stuff to do! To think about all of the stuff that has to be done, can sometimes feel overwhelming.
That brings me to another thought: How prepared are we for when Jesus returns?
I have been around some people who won't accept Jesus until they are perfect themselves. That is not at all possible at all. If we spend all of our lives trying to be perfect, we are wasting our time. The only perfect man was Jesus. He was able to be perfect, because He is God in the flesh. He didn't sin. However, the rest of we humans don't have it like that. Ever since the sin in the Garden Of Eden, mankind was given the choice. We can choose to live for ourselves, or to live for God. Some people think that if they are a good person, God will accept them into Heaven. NOT! Some people think that if they give to the poor, they will go to Heaven. NOT! While doing good things for the human race are good to do, they in and of themselves, won't bring us righteousness before God. For "All of our works are like filthy rags", as the Word says. It also says, "For by grace have you been saved, THROUGH FAITH. It is not of your own doing, lest any man should boast."
There is only ONE WAY for us to be righteous enough to spend eternity with God. That is by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. As He said, "For I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life! For no one can go to the Father, except through Me!" You see, God says in the Bible,"I am Holy, and those who worship me MUST be Holy.". God is righteous, and thus we must be. Sin is like a wedge that keeps us from God. Without Jesus, we are dead in our sins, and going to Hell.
Some people think that just going to church will turn them into a Christian. Well, when you go to McDonald's turn you into a Big Mac? NO! All we have to do is to accept Jesus into our heart, and to be "Bananas for Jesus!" We are to not love in words only, but also by making a conscious choice to live every day trying to be obedient to Him. Sure, we will often trip and fall flat on our face, but He will help us. For the Word also says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths!". It is up to us to choose to LIVE FOR HIM, or live to cater to our own sinful, futile way, without HIS guidance. »Pastor Jax« O:-)

Tragedy
Tragedy from ten years ago
Why do we worry? Why do we fear? In the sad remembrance of one of the worst tragedies of the US and the world, the news media is one of the worst tragedies concerning this sad memory. The problem is that they seemingly feed into the same hate as the terrorists whom they despise.
What is the bad terminology that they use that seemingly glorifies terrorism? It is the term: ANNIVERSARY OF 9/1/1. I may not be the brightest bulb in the universe, but I think that I have a pretty good grasp of what love is. Ever since I've been alive for 53 years, ANNIVERSARY has always meant that it is something or someone to celebrate. Would we rather CELEBRATE the "Anniversary" of all the people who died, or have a memorial or a tribute to those people who died on this day ten years ago?
One more term that is also very annoying to me is "US, Government, or Military Intelligence". As I know from the time that I served in the US Navy, those terms are oxymorons. In my experience, there is no intelligence in anything to do with the government. There is the right way, the wrong way, and then the government way. A lot of their decisions are contrary to rational thought. Instead of the system using the brains of the people behind it, incompetence is often covered up by making trite phases.
You are probably wondering why this is such an issue. By being stupid, this creates anger, resentment, and fear among believers and non-believers. There's big money being made from instilling fear into the hearts of people.
I remember this day vividly, as if it were yesterday. :( Speaking of the fear factor, even the news media in the mainstream and Christian world, spoke of silly things such as: stockpiling food and emergency generators. Just the previous year to this tragic day, in the year 2000,or Y2K, similar hype had gone on. We were being convinced that because of the fact that computers couldn't recognize the dawning of a new century, we were supposedly doomed to die in the wake of the computer glitch. The computer programmers for Microsoft and other operating systems developed a patch to move us all forward.
So, what are we all to do to protect us from all of this hype and uncaring terminology? The answer to ALL of life's questions can be found in our "User's Manual For Life." This is more commonly called " The Word of God, or " The Bible." The scripture that comes to me speaks of God's love. In the Greek language, this is known as Agape love. That is the perfect kind of love: unconditional love. God's Love is the perfect example of that. For it says in 1 John 4: "15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us. 20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen."
What does all of this mean? Does it mean that we should just love our genealogical brother, and hate everyone else? By no means! This has a figurative meaning. It means that our brother, (or sister), means everyone that we talk to. We are all in the human race, so we are all related. By loving God first, then loving others, we are activating His Angels to protect us from all this fear.

Light of the World
John 8:12 reads, "Then Jesus again spoke to them saying," I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life!"
How much light do you shine into others lives? In our fast paced life nowadays, we all, even me, sometimes get so wrapped up in our own lives, that we don't get involved in others lives. The only Jesus that others will see is the Jesus in you and me.
In Galatians 2 verse 20, it reads," I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life that I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and delivered himself up for me."
That is the hardest part. Dying to ourselves. Does that mean that we physically die? No, we must try to "die" to our sinful nature. Some people think that people of God who are in the leadership roles must be perfect to lead others. Not so at all! Not to use this as an excuse, but we are all human! For anyone to expect anyone else to be perfect, will be very disappointed. It is a constant battle of good versus evil. We can either choose to do wrong, or choose to do right. God gave us all free choice to either follow Him, or go our own way. Oftentimes, He allows us to learn from our mistakes, so that He can strengthen us in order to help others who are going through similar circumstances as we are or have been through.
God Bless everyone!

Don't Worry Be Happy
Why do we worry? It is a common human emotion that happens very often. It is so easy to get all wrapped up in the trappings of modern day life. Ever since the 1900's it has gotten more and more complicated.
First, there was the invention of Electricity. That allowed us to power our homes, so that we could cook, refrigerate our food, and listen to the good old radio shows. Next came personal transportation. No longer did we have to wait for a train, trolley, wagon, or bicycle.
Then came indoor plumbing. No longer having to use the restroom in the outhouse, and we didn't have to run up the hill to fetch the pail of water, and we didn't have to fall down and break our crown.
Then came the TV. No longer waiting in line to see movies all the time, but we could watch programs in our own home!
Now, we don't have to even go to the library and read books if we don't want to, because we have the information on any subject that we want to research, right in our homes.
You are probably wondering where I am going with this. Since we have so many modern conveniences in life, we have gotten very dependent on them. There was a song from a 80's Christian Rock band (Servant) that kinda expresses this thought. It was called, "Gotta Break Away". It said, "Gotta break away today, I'm not going to be tied down." Later in the song, it talks about our possessions, and how bad it is when our possessions possess us.
In this line of thought, when we get tied up in our lives, and don't watch it, our possessions can easily take the place of God. Inside of every human is a spiritual hole. If that hole isn't filled with God, a person will try and fill it with money, sex, drugs, power, possessions, etc. Along with the void that is filled with things that aren't for God, we can worry about those things. We worry about someone stealing our stuff, damaging our stuff, or it decaying.
If we don't trust in God for EVERYTHING, we will go through alot of extra grief for being disobedient to Him. For it says in His Word, "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and Lean NOT on your own understanding. In ALL YOUR WAYS acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." (Proverbs 3 vs. 5-6.) I know that it is often a harder task to talk about, than to do. We often get caught up in the trappings of our modern day life, conveniences, and money. We all often think about ourselves and our situations first, and then God last. Which brings me to another verse, "But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6: vs 33-34) So, does this mean that if we seek Him first, he will give us all the material things that we desire? There are some "Prosperity Churches" that preach this false doctrine. No, what it means is that when we put God and His Son First, our needs will be taken care of, and we won't need to be in want for anything. Also, when we trust Him, instead of our own selves and intellect, we won't be worrying, because He will help calm our minds from our worries. Just like the old song says, "One day at a time, sweet Jesus, that's all I'm asking from you. Lord give me the strength, to do every day, what I have to do. Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus, and tomorrow may never be mine, Lord give me the strength, to do every day, one day at a time."

Family
How important is family to you? It is the fabric that holds this world together. However, there are times that family can often cause hurt, resentments, bitterness, etc. I know for myself, that if I have any unresolved issues in my own family, it is difficult to totally focus on helping others. No matter how difficult things get, family should be there for one another.
My beginning passage for today is taken from 1 Timothy 3:vs 1-7. It reads,
"1 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil." This same concept not only applies to our family lives, but in just about each and every situation we may encounter. How can we reach other families or individuals?
OBSTACLES TO FAMILY UNITY
One obstacle is a big one: Unforgiveness. It says in the Word, "Forgive others, and God will forgive you." God has already forgiven us through Jesus, but it minimizes all that Christ did for us on the Cross, when we don't forgive others. For we are told in Ephesians 4 vs. 31&32 "Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has forgiven you."
When we choose to let unforgiveness fester in our lives like an open wound, it brings bitterness, resentment, anger and rage. We are told in the Word to put those emotions aside. When we have those emotions residing in our souls, it also brings about grudges. In Philippians 4 vs. 8 and 9 it states: "Finally brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

Computer Education and Maintenance e-book
I bet you all have been wondering about my coming e-book about computer education and maintenance. I am currently working on writing it, and will let everyone know as soon as I am finished.

Stress
Some stress is good for us. That type of stress is a motivator to get us to do what we need to get done. That is positive.
However, there is a very negative stress that can make a HUGE negative impact on our everyday lives. From what I've noticed in my 45 years of life, there seems to be one underlying cause of a lot of it. That suspected cause is the ugly word called STRESS.
That suspected cause is the ugly word worry. Worry is the opposite of faith. When we least expect it, the negative thought comes into our heads.
So, what would be a positive way to handle our worry? That is through careful study in God's Word, as well as prayer. One scripture that helps me a lot, can be found in Matthew 6:25-34. It reads:
"25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. "
In other words, don't worry, but be happy by trusting that God will take care of us through His Holy Spirit. For Jesus said, "When I leave you, I will send a Helper". John 14:16-18 says," 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. ".
However, there is a very negative stress that can make a HUGE negative impact on our everyday lives. From what I've noticed in my 45 years of life, there seems to be one underlying cause of a lot of it. That suspected cause is the ugly word called STRESS.

Trust in The Lord
Today's scripture is Proverbs 3 verses 5-8. It reads," 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.
Now what does this mean? Does it mean that we can't And shouldn't think for ourselves, and have God fIgure out everything for us? No, it doesn't mean that at all. What it means is that God wants to be more than just a convenience in our lives. He wants us to trust and rely on him in the good times, as well as the bad times. He wants us to acknowledge Him first and foremost, then we can decide what to do with the path that He has chosen for us. Notice that in the last verse, it says that it will be healing to our flesh, and healing to our bones. When we trust Him with our lives, He will help keep us healthy. He desires that we be healthy both in body, mind and spirit. In this day and age, it is so easy for our minds and spirits to get all wrapped up in our own world and understanding of life. We have the Information Superhighway that is also called the Internet. When we seek our OWN way and intellect first, instead of God's way through the Holy Spirit, we cause troubles for ourselves, as well as the ones we love. If we put ourselves and our flawed thinking first, we become our own worst enemy. Mark 7: 21-23 says" For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”. In other words, if we rely mainly on our own human intellect, it leads us down the path to a lot of troubles. God is NOT a "Fire Escape". He wants our sincere honor and devotion in all areas of our lives. John 4:24 says," God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
8 It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.

How Connected Are You?
In this day and age, we all want to be connected. Information can travel around the world in just a matter of milliseconds. However, this brings about a BIG question. How connected are we with our Father God, and our Savior Jesus? In today's computer world, we have all kinds of information that we can find out in the speed of light. We can look up tickets for a movie, watch a movie, find a recipe, find out how to fix our car, where to get products and services for the area that we live, keep up with friends and family through social networks like Facebook, Linked In, My Space, Twitter, and more. We can even look up the information on any subject that we want to, without even going to the library! However, all of this connectivity can consume us if we let it. I am sure that none of us prays to God as often as we need to. If we prayed to God as much as we spent on the World Wide Web, it would be a much better world.
It is so easy to put God on the back-burner in the good times, and only contact Him in the bad times. However, just like a good friend or family member, our relationship with God needs proper attention; not only in the bad times, but also in the good ones. God wants a RELATIONSHIP with us; not just a RELIGION. There are people who think that religion and relationship with God are the same thing. However, they are not. We can be religious about anything. We can be RELIGIOUS about filling the gas tank at the same time each week, and at the same gas station. However, we don't have a relationship with the gas pump. If we do, then there is a definite problem. What does God want? He wants total reliance on Him and His Son for one. The only way to have a relationship with God is through His Son. John 3: 16 says:" For God So Loved The World, That He Gave His Only Son, So He That Believes In Him Might Be Saved." There are some people that believe that just going to church makes you a Christian. That is not true at all. There are some people who think that praying makes you a Christian. People in every religion pray. Even demons pray. Some people think that doing a lot of good deeds makes you a Christian. Not even good deeds will save you. As it says in the Bible," For by grace are you saved through Faith, it is not of your own doing, lest any man should boast." Do you want to know what defines a Christian? As the late Christian singer, Keith Green said, "Someone who is BANANAS FOR JESUS!" Someone who loves the Lord God with their whole heart and their whole strength. The most important part in addition to loving God, is to love everybody else, as much as you love yourself. That doesn't mean to put yourself first, but to love yourself, then others. It is important to have a healthy self love, or it is impossible to love anyone else, including God. God enables us to love ourselves, through His precious Word.
On the topic of loving others, when we show love to others, we must do it without expecting anything in return. There shouldn't be any conditions on our love either. No two people think alike or do things alike, because we are all "wired" differently, if you'll excuse the expression of speech. Each and every person that God made has something to contribute to the world. No one is above another, and no one is below another. Everyone is unique and special. For it states in The Word that, "He knew me while I was still in the womb". God always has, and always will, have a plan for each and every person that He created. However, we must get our foolish pride out of the way. God can't use us if we're proud. He wants us to be humble and meek. Meek isn't weak, it just means humble enough for God to speak to us. If we are too set in our ways and full of pride, it blocks God's communication with us, because instead of hearing His voice, we only hear our own.

Computers and Jesus
Every day is a great day. We all should be thankful for all that Jesus does for us. In this rapid paced world, with computers, we all tend to want everything at light speed. It is very easy for us all to get lazy as we move through life. As it states in the Bible, "For one thousand years is but a blink of the eye". In other words, time doesn't really matter to God.
One other note on the computer side, I am soon going to start developing some computer helps e-books for all to read, to help others learn some tips and tricks that I have learned throughout the years. Until next time, God Bless You All!
Jack
